“JJ” Jefferson Judson. A newborn session at home in Dallastown, Pennsylvania.

This is my third time photographing this family and it is truly an honor.  It also means I am probably doing my job right!  Not too long ago we were all together taking family photos for Patrick’s 1st birthday and they told me to be expecting another call in the Spring because Patrick was being promoted to big brother!  Woohoo!

It came as no real surprise that ‘JJ’ is beyond adorable just like his brother.  Patrick is a pretty rambunctious kid so it proved to be pretty difficult to convince him to sit still long enough for me to take some photos of him with his newborn baby brother.  It required quite a bit of creativity on my part(for safety reasons), bribery, and help from three other adults to rattle off the few shots I needed.  You probably would not even be able to tell from the photos that the struggle is real.  I am here to tell you that photographing newborn babies and toddler siblings is one of the hardest things to do!  I have not mastered it yet, but I sure am trying!

I was also really impressed by the woodland theme Korie was using to decorate one of the kids’ rooms and decided to borrow the play teepee for the session.  Generally speaking, I am not a huge fan of props, but this teepee was the exception to the rule.  I kind of want one for myself to make an adult fort.  Way more substantial than the blanket/chair variety that I made when I was a kid!
